He's cold, abusive, sadistic, manipulative and a harsh king
He was changed by his ex(and now dead) wife Rosalie. She was just as cold as he is now.
Alucard was once caring and kind, and had a wife and two kids. Rosalie liked his looks and his brains, so she changed him. In his Blood Rage, he killed his wife and children, then the rest of his clan.
He's never forgiven Rosalie, but still went to her. Finally, 300 years ago, he and Jacob tore her into little bits and burned her. They then put her ashes in a jar and sunk it in the sea.
When Sahiri came to him, she stirred something in his long ago frozen heart. She reminds him of his wife, well, her personality does.
He wont admit to it though, and just to prove that he hasn't fallen for her, he abuses her particularly and has no problem with having other women in his bed.
But he's also possessive over her, he hates other men coming near her, so he has Jacob keeping an eye on her.

She's kind and caring to a fualt, she forgives easily and hardly ever raises her voice. She's fun loving and a bit childish.
She is a little quiet, but there's something about Alucard that brings out her sarcastic and argumentative side.
She would do anything for her kingdom, and now anything for her husband.
She was the youngest of the Bretta royals. She had seven older brothers, and her parents were always chasing those seven around, seemingly too busy to do more than check in with their daughter's nanny.
Sahiri was raised by an old witch, who died at the beginning of the war, and she also had one full time playmate, though she often made friends with the servant's children.
